Why VectorSign

Everything a signature workflow needs — without the busywork

The tasks that make e-signature slow — writing the first draft, dragging fields for every signer, chasing people who forgot — are the ones VectorSign handles for you.

Draft faster

Describe the agreement in plain English and AI writes the first draft. Or start from 120+ ready-made templates, or your team's own.

Send smarter

Place initials on every page for every signer in one click. Choose the signing order, protect documents with access codes, and let automatic reminders do the chasing.

Prove everything

Every envelope gets a full audit trail, a Certificate of Completion and trusted timestamps — evidence you can check with standard tools, not just take our word for.

AI drafting

Describe the agreement. Get a draft in seconds.

No blank page and no hunting through old contracts. Tell VectorSign what you need in plain English — who it's between, the terms, the jurisdiction — and AI writes a complete, well-structured first draft you can edit right away.

  • Any agreement, in any words — NDAs, consulting and contractor agreements, offer letters, leases, releases and more.
  • Edit before you send — refine the draft in a built-in editor with real headings, bold text and lists that carry into the PDF.
  • Blanks flagged for you — any placeholder you haven't filled in is called out before the document is added, so nothing goes out with "[Client Name]" in it.
  • Straight to signature — the draft becomes a PDF in the same envelope. Add signers and send without switching tools.

Automatic field placement

Eight signers, two documents. Fields placed in a minute.

Multi-party agreements shouldn't mean dragging a hundred boxes around. VectorSign places fields for you — across every page, for every signer — and hands the cursor from one signer to the next.

  • Quick place — initials for every signer on every page of every document, in one click.
  • Click-to-place — click each signature line once; VectorSign moves on to the next signer automatically.
  • Date signed, automatically — added under each signature and stamped by VectorSign at the moment of signing, so it can't be backdated.
  • Preview as each signer — see exactly what every person will fill in before you send, and get warned if anyone is missing a signature.

Sent & Received

Know what needs you — and what you're waiting on

One place for everything you send and everything sent to you. Anything that needs your signature floats to the top with a Sign button, and automatic reminders nudge whoever's holding things up.

  • Automatic reminders & expiry — every 2 days, 3 days or weekly, until they sign or the envelope expires.
  • Categories, search & filters — file envelopes your way and find any agreement by title, signer or email.
  • Everything sent to you, kept — signers can create a free account with the same email and every document they've signed is already there.

For teams

One workspace for your whole team — at one flat price

The Business plan covers up to 100 people for one monthly price, not per seat. Everyone shares templates and categories, and admins stay in control of who can do what.

  • Org-wide visibility — owners and admins see every envelope the team sends; members see their own.
  • Owner, admin & member roles — invite teammates, and deactivate access instantly when someone leaves.
  • Shared templates & categories — build a document once, file envelopes the same way across the team.
  • Activity log & branding — every invite, role change and rename is recorded; every email carries your logo.

FAQ

Common questions

Is an e-signature from VectorSign legally binding?

Yes. VectorSign is built around the U.S. ESIGN Act and the EU eIDAS Regulation, which recognize electronic signatures as the legal equivalent of a handwritten one. Every signature is captured with the signer's identity, timestamp and IP address, and each signed PDF carries a trusted RFC 3161 timestamp.

Is this an electronic signature or a digital signature?

The two terms are often used interchangeably, but they mean different things:

  • An electronic signature (e-signature) is a person's intent to sign, captured electronically — a drawn, typed or uploaded signature, tied to the signer and backed by an audit trail. This is what the U.S. ESIGN Act and the EU eIDAS Regulation recognize as legally binding.
  • A digital signature is a specific cryptographic technique: the document is signed with a certificate issued to the signer by a certificate authority. It's required for certain eIDAS "advanced" and "qualified" signatures and in some regulated industries.

VectorSign provides legally binding electronic signatures — the kind used for the vast majority of business agreements, from NDAs and offer letters to sales contracts and leases. On top of that, every completed document is protected with cryptography you can check yourself: SHA-256 hashes of each signed PDF and of its audit trail, sealed into a Certificate of Completion, plus an RFC 3161 trusted timestamp from DigiCert. If anything changes after signing, it's detectable.

VectorSign doesn't currently issue signer certificates for advanced or qualified digital signatures. If your use case requires them, talk to us.

Do my signers need a VectorSign account?

No. Signers open a secure link from their email and sign in the browser on any device. If they later create a free account with the same email, every document they've been sent is waiting in their Received inbox.

How do automatic reminders work?

When you send an envelope, choose to remind signers every 2 days, 3 days or weekly. VectorSign re-sends the signing email to whoever's turn it is until they sign or the envelope expires. You can also send a reminder by hand at any time.

Can I add extra security for sensitive documents?

Yes. Give any recipient an access code and share it with them separately, by phone or text. They'll need it before the document opens, and too many wrong attempts lock the envelope until you unlock it.

How does the audit trail work?

Every action on an envelope — sent, viewed, signed, voided — is recorded. When everyone has signed, VectorSign generates a Certificate of Completion that hash-chains the documents and their audit log, so any later tampering is detectable. You can re-verify a document at any time.

Can my whole team use one VectorSign account?

Yes — that's the Business plan: up to 100 people for one flat monthly price. The owner invites teammates, promotes admins, and can deactivate anyone instantly. Templates, categories and document usage are shared across the team.

Can I integrate VectorSign into my own product?

Yes. The VectorSign API lets you create and send envelopes, embed signing in your app, and receive signed webhooks. See the developer docs, then request API access.

What happens if I go over my monthly document limit?

You'll be prompted to upgrade before you can send a new envelope past your plan's monthly limit. Nothing already sent or signed is affected.

Is VectorSign related to VectorViewer?

Yes — VectorSign is the e-signature product from the team behind VectorViewer's document platform.
